Advocacy training workshop held in Croatia

On 17 and 18 May 2017, advocacy training workshop was held at the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts. Workshop participants were vocational education and training (VET) experts from the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts and regional chambers as well as PR staff and staff who will work as help-desk line operators.

Participants had the chance to learn lobbying and advocacy techniques, modes of successful communication, establishing contacts and networking. Some participants had the experience in working with tradesmen, craftsmen, entrepreneurs and various other VET stakeholders (relevant ministries, agencies, schools), which enabled them to actively engage in the workshop programme and easier learn new skills and knowledge on lobbying and advocacy. Besides that, the workshop was adapted to participants who had little experience in the area.

During the workshop, participants had the chance to develop their skills through working in groups and discussing topics related to forthcoming project activities such as info days om Split and Rijeka as well as designing the concept and preparation for the partnership formation workshop.

Workshop participants will use acquired knowledge and skills for work on future project activities as well as their everyday work.
