Advocacy Training Workshop held in Slovakia

Regional Development Agency Senec-Pezinok (RDA SP) in close cooperation with Slovak  Entrepreneurship Chamber (SŽK) organized interactive seminar about effective communication and partnership building on 24th October 2017. This seminar was realized within the international project “Get Involved in EP4A: European Partnerships for Apprenticeships”, which is support by the programme Erasmus+ and focused to build capacities of intermediary bodies supporting apprenticeships in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Participants of the seminar were mostly the representatives of chambers, unions and subjects supporting the development and engagement of small and medium enterprises. Under the guidance of an experienced lecturer, participants learned how to strengthen their skills in communicating with partners – whether entrepreneurs, schools or public institutions. The main topics of the seminar were: self-knowledge and self-esteem, principles of effective communication and communication skills, nonverbal and verbal communication, personality perception, first impression, motivation – the key to success, managing and accepting criticism, assertive behaviour, the role of psychology in communication. The working methods were: discussions in groups, team workloads, playing the roles, feedback, individual work, short lecture inputs, questionnaires /personality (personality tests). All of the participants active participated, worked separately as well as in groups on various work tasks, interactive games but mainly actively discussed the main topic that was attended by the whole seminar, namely the support of small and medium-sized enterprises in engaging in dual education.
