Dual Education and Dual System are hot topics on national policy level, and many big employers are already actively engaged. But to get the system working for young people on larger scale, we need to get it to the everyday life of our vocational schools and our SMEs – to explain, to engage, to motivate, to link, and to support them. This work requires synergy and partnership on the very local levels, and within the EP4A project, we have put together a regional Apprenticeship Partnership in Bratislava region. The regional Apprenticeship Partnership is based on a Memorandum of Understanding linking the regional actors – intermediary bodies Slovak Chamber of Crafts – Regional Branch Bratislava, Bratislava Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Regional Development Agency Senec-Pezinok – and the national body State Institute of Vocational Education coordinating the Dual System in Slovakia. The Memorandum of Understanding entered into force with the signature of the last party to the contract on 29 June 2018. The signatories agreed to support each other in their activities aimed at enhancing the development of the Dual Education, to exchange information, contacts, experts and know-how, and possibly develop further joint initiatives aimed at Dual Education.
